Playing against controllers gives you an advantage otherwise you wouldn’t be doing it.Įven if you refuse to agree that keyboard/mouse gives an advantage, you’d have to understand that many people believe otherwise, and since the overwhelming majority of console players would prefer to use a controller, and would prefer that all of their opponents be restricted to the same input hardware, then why not just get on board with separate lobbies? If you are a keyboard and mouse player there’s literally no reason you can’t just play against other players using the same hardware, unless you simply want to keep the unfair advantage that keyboard gives over controller. If most console players prefer a level playing field and therefor prefer no keyboard and mouse in their lobbies, it makes perfect sense to separate the keyboard and mouse players out to their own lobbies.
